Lord God of
grace and
mercy, we flee
to your
redeeming love
today. We
acknowledge
that we imitate
the world too
much, and the
Lord Jesus too
little. We
confess that we
are too often
"case
hardened"
when we see the
suffering of
others. There
is so much to
do, we get
overwhelmed. We
are tempted to
do little or
nothing. Yet,
you have
decided to need
us for your
work. Let us
hear your voice
today. Grant
that our hearts
may be filled
with your love.
And at the
last, give us
the joy of
reaching out
with your
strength to
bring healing
to a shattered
world. Amen.
